GradNet Seminar Series

Each semester GradNet hosts a series of informal training seminars. These sessions cover a range of topics, a mix of previous successes and new ideas. All of our sessions are led by current PGR students, sometimes in the format of a more formal presentation or otherwise as a panel discussion.

We welcome all postgraduate students from the Humanities to join. For a current list of our events, and to sign up to attend, just visit our Eventbrite page.

These seminars take place certain Wednesday evenings throughout each semester. As an attendee to our sessions you get to learn from someone in a similar position to you. We try to give as much practical advice as possible and are always willing to help and advice on specific issues. If you wish to lead a seminar then please get in contact. As a seminar leader, you get to teach your new technique or research method or practical application to your fellow students!

All our seminars are peer-reviewed by a member of the GradNet committee, so if you lead a seminar you will receive peer observation feedback from a designated reviewer. Feedback gives you an idea of how your session was perceived by the reviewer and the attendees and offers some pointers on how you might improve delivery in future.

Seminars run regularly during term-time and refreshments are provided.
